Arkansas Government, Business Officials Travel to Mexico
LITTLE ROCK (AP) _ A group of government and business officials will spend four days in Mexico as part of a trip organized by that nation's Little Rock consulate. Consul Andres Chao says the group, including Little Rock Mayor Mark Stodola and a representative from Gov. Mike Beebe's office, will spend two days in Mexico City. The trip later will head to Pachuca in the Mexican state of Hidalgo for two days. Chao says Joel Anderson, chancellor of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, plans to sign an agreement with a university in Pachuca for an exchange program between the two schools. Officials with airplane manufacturer Bombardier Mexico also will meet with the group. Chao says there likely will be a discussion about bringing direct flights from Mexico to Little Rock as well. Chao says the 13 officials on the trip paid for their flights and hotel rooms.

The Mexican Government's effort to starve it's people to death and put the guilt of Mexican Poverty on the US taxpayer is being helped by leaders like Mark Stodolla and Joel Anderson who will continue to appease negligent regimes.

Judicial activism and event tommorrow

Pro-illegal Judicial Activism in Oklahoma!

The elected representatives in Oklahoma passed a law to stem the tide of illegal aliens and, faster than you can say "judicial supremacy," a federal judge blocked its enforcement. The court suspended key sections of the law even before it was due to take effect on July 1. As the story suggest, even though a part of the immigration reform law has bee temporarily stopped, it has already forced out many illegal aliens from Oklahoma!

http://www.eagleforum.org/column/2008/june08/08-06-18.html

The name of the Judge is United States District Judge Robin Cauthron according to the case
http://www.uschamber.com/assets/nclc/henrypreliminjunction.pdf

Here is his contact information. While judges are not elected officials, I believe that those who oppose illegal immigration would like to say how they feel about Judge Cauthron's ruling:

COMPLAINTS OF JUDICIAL MISCONDUCT AND DISABILITY
Sections 351 to 364 of title 28 of the United States Code provide a way for any person to complain about a federal judge who the person believes “has engaged in conduct prejudicial to the effective and expeditious administration of the business of the courts” or “is unable to discharge the duties of the office by reason of mental or physical disability.”
Complaints are filed with the circuit executive on a form that has been developed for that purpose. For a copy of the rules and the necessary forms go to http://www.ca10.uscourts.gov/downloads/misconduct_rules.pdf

Rare Good News from the President and another event

Federal contractors must 'E-Verify' employees' eligibility to work
Executive Order: Amending Executive Order 12989, as Amended
http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2008/06/20080609-2.html

Bush issues an executive order requiring companies to use an electronic verification system that is linked to the Social Security database. Critics (pro-illegals) have pointed to a 4.1% error rate in the database.

By Nicole Gaouette, Los Angeles Times Staff Writer

WASHINGTON -- President Bush issued an executive order today requiring all federal contractors to use an electronic verification system to ensure their workers can legally work in the United States .The move is the latest step by the administration to ratchet up enforcement of immigration laws by using tough measures, including a series of high-profile raids on work sites and factories across the country."Contractors that employ illegal aliens cannot rely on the continuing availability and service of those illegal workers," the administration said in a statement.Bush administration officials last year outlined a series of steps to change immigration regulations after Congress failed to pass broad immigration reform. The administration efforts involve changes to federal regulations that are meant to make it easier for some industries to hire foreign workers. Other changes are meant to strengthen enforcement and improve immigrant assimilation.

The administration said in its statement today that companies that use its electronic verification system, known as E-Verify, will be less likely to face immigration enforcement action and therefore be more efficient and dependable. All federal agencies will be required to have contractors check their workers' status."Private employers that choose to contract with the federal government should meet the same standard," the administration said. The E-Verify system is linked to the Social Security database. Critics of the system have pointed to a 4.1% error rate in the database, often a result of small discrepancies such as a misspelled name. They argue that this error rate means that millions of legal residents and citizens will be forced to prove they are legally entitled to work. The Social Security database has discrepancies in the records of an estimated 12.7 million native-born U.S. citizens, according to the Immigration Policy Center , a pro-immigrant think tank based in Washington , D.C.

Another Great Response to the John Brummet Hit Piece:
I vacation five or six times a year in Northwest Arkansas, and I was so bemused with John Brummett's "Kansas City, Mexico" column. It would seem that a columnist should have some knowledge of the subject prior to writing about it.In the first place, the "Smartport" idea that shot down in Kansas City was a bad idea. Sovereign Mexico territory in the U.S.? That no U.S. law enforcement official can enter? With $120 billion in drug money already going to Mexico this was a bad idea that got its due. This rhetoric about "hispanic looking people walking around" upsetting people is hogwash. As Bill Murray said in Stripes "Our forefathers were kicked out of every decent country in the world" we are a country of immigrants. Legal immigrants as my maternal grandparents were.

Please consider:Illegal aliens displaced American workers at a cost in excess of $133 billion dollars last year according to Harvard Professor George Borjas Annually, 75 percent of drugs arrive from Mexico at a net cost of $120 billion hard currency that leaves our country for good. In addition, our tax dollars pay $80 billion for the war on drugs each year When an alien criminal gets caught for rape, murder or drug distribution, you pay $1.6 billion annually in prison costs to house, feed and clothe those filling 30 percent of our federal and state prisons - not to mention TV, movies, weight rooms and other entertainment - they enjoy while being incarcerated Over 300,000 women annually arrive pregnant with the sole intent to drop them on U.S. soil. You pay food, housing, medical and schooling for them to age 18 - plus their mother. According to the Center for Immigration Studies, average annual cost per child K-12 is $7,161 and exceeds $109 billion annually per cycle of anchor babies$56 billion in pure cash illegal migrants sent to their home countries last year and every year Taxes paid minus services used - for an adult immigrant is $55,200 according to Carrying Capacity Network. Your taxes at work. Mexico is one of the most economically stratified and oppressive countries in the world. There are a couple of hundred families that own everything, hire a small middle class to make them more money, and the rest go hungry - which is their plan, so they will come to the US to throw Americans out of work and send the hard currency home. How dumping their oppressed on us makes us "racist" is beyond me. I've been there, I speak the language, and I've seen it, have you? Kansas City has a long term, hardworking and prosperous Mexican community. I grew up in a mixed neighborhood with minorities of all kinds, and I am lucky to have many Mexican friends, including one of my oldest and closest friends. This issue has to do with the rule of law, with sovereignty, and with justice for the Mexican people, not racism. When my maternal grandfather came here from the Balkans he was asked his name at Ellis Island and he said "Usef Kapatonovich ... but I don't want that name, I want to be an American. Give me an American name." With the stroke of a pen Usef Kapatonovich became Sam Miller. Proudly, and never flew a Yugoslavian flag, or joined a Yugoslavian society to march in the streets and defame his new country. He made money and spent it on raising his family, not sending it overseas. Big, big, big difference.

2 great responses to the pro-illegal editorials written in Arkansas media:

Compassion misplaced
Few things rile me more than Paul Greenberg's misplaced compassion and the Democrat-Gazette's bleating (s) for illegal aliens, justifying a sub-economy class for the sole purpose of padding profit. Paul's parents were emigrants, you know. Legal emigrants, not illegal aliens. Poor Paul can't fathom the difference between legal and illegal. Pity. Illegals cost the state $ 237 million, but Paul tries to offset that paltry sum by the $ 257 million in revenue paid in by illegal aliens. Duh. If those displaced American workers were on the job, they would be paying instead of drawing unemployment. Have you talked to a Mexican roofer lately ? Probably not, unless you speak Spanish. Sure, he's willing to work for less, with free health care at the emergency clinic, free education at the expense to the American taxpayer and no disability owed by the employer (or any recourse if he is hurt on the job ).

Sure, we need those poor souls who do the jobs we won't do, a cop-out for businesses looking to cut expenses in the labor force. And sure, the first-generation illegal alien is docile, submissive and happy with the arrangement. Life is so much better than the old country. But like France and some other European countries, the offspring from rampant, unchecked immigration might not be so compliant and resolute toward their new homeland. Thwarted from being assimilated as quickly as their forebears, they might just decide to burn the sucker down. BOB STROUD / Jacksonville

Greed rules government
I don't have any clue as to who wrote the "Insecure Arkansas"editorial, but he had to be close to George W. Bush or Dick Cheney, for they and their million-dollar friends love illegal immigration. Illegal immigration is about money and greed: How can I do this task cheaper, get all these uneducated people and pay them minimum pay ? The federal, state, county and city governments are all guilty, and that is why [laws on ] illegal workers have not been enforced: corrupt governments controlled by billionaires. GENE A. WITHERSPOON / Bella Vista
