Alan Kerr's Victory

Tuesday was an interesting day. I wasn't able to find my cellphone until around 12pm. It was raining when I went to the Church of Christ and saw that it was raining and not very people were there. I'm sorry for not telling everyone a backup plan in case of bad weather. Since it was near the church, I then went to Allen Kerr's office and helped with some phonebanking. I then went and did an issue speech for my church's public speaking class. My topic was illegal immigration. After the speech, I went back to the Kerr HQ for the watchparty. The watchparty was a great celebration as the people in District 3 elected Allen Kerr. Kerr won 54% of the vote! Ed Garner described the results as a "Tsunami backwash". This is a great victory for a Republican to unseat a democrat in a "blue county". We must now continue the conservative fight in the upcoming 2007 legistlative session.
