8/13 10am
Rep. Woods and Rep. Green will be holding a meeting beginning on August 13th at the Capitol. This will be in the State Agencies Committee, Room 151, at 10am.

The first study meeting (we are hoping for 2 or three meetings this Fall) will focus on the effects of illegal immigration in Arkansas on Education, Employment, and Law Enforcement/Corrections.

We are asking each of the following State Departments to supply us with this information. Testifying will be the Departments of:
Higher Education Pre-K K-12 Department of Corrections Motor Vehicle Department (Under the Dept of Finance) Insurance Department Department of Workforce AFL/CIO and various labor unions

Each of these has been asked to assess to costs to their agencies of illegal immigration.

We are then planning another meeting in September (TBA) that will call in the following State Departments

Department of Human Services
Department of Health
Hospital Association

This second meeting will focus on health care costs and health benefit costs.

8/20 and 21st
Monday and Tuesday there will be worldwide protest against the North American Union. I would like to get a crowd together at the State Capitol for a press conference and have some guest speakers talk about the destruction of America's identity. I would like to have the press conference at around 9am or so.

There is a court case in Alexander, Arkansas involving illegal immigration. A lawyer has sued claiming "racial profiling" because about 20 or so hispanics have been pulled over for too much clutter on their windshield. Nearly 4 times as many whites have been pulled over by a city government which is largely African American. I have tried to call the city and the sherriff of Alexander but have been unsuccessful in getting any more information than the story from The Morning News.
