Illegal immigration disease

The swine flu has killed several people in Mexico and has had several non-lethal cases across the world. This flu was most likely caused by third-world economic conditions from Mexico. Immigration reform groups such as the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) have been warning about threat of disease from illegal immigration for years. Pro-illegal immigration groups, such as the Souther Poverty Law Center, have accused those who warn of illegal alien disease of being Anti-Immigrant. Here's a quote from the SPLC "Overall, FAIR blames immigrants for crime, poverty, disease, urban sprawl and increasing racial tensions in America, and calls for a drastic cut in the numbers of those allowed in."

You would think that the swine flu would end any possibility of an amnesty, but it appears to have only delayed the effort a few days. From the same ALIPAC forum I was able to find out that a hearing will take place Thursday . Here's a statement from that forum "The hearing on "Comprehensive Immigration Reform in 2009, Can We Do It and How?" scheduled by the Senate Committee on the Judiciary, Subcommittee on Immigration, Border Security and Refugees will take place on Thursday, April 30 at 2:00 p.m. rather than the previously scheduled date of Tuesday, April 28. Now is the time to contact Senators and tell them no Comprehensive Immigration Reform of any kind.
